Olanike Olakanle

Olanike M. Olakanle is the Ethics and Compliance Officer for GSK Pharmaceuticals in Nigeria where she has the responsibility for risk management, investigations, building and shaping culture as well as partnering with the various business leads to deliver on our business objectives.
 
She is a finance professional with over 13 years’ experience in accounting advisory, embedding and testing controls, SOX reviews, internal audit services, risk management as well as corporate governance. Her experience spans across several industries such as manufacturing, banking, pharmaceutical, telecommunication and the public sector. She has managed the audit teams of various multinationals and has experience in fraud and enterprise risk assessments.
 
Olanike is passionate about good governance practices, seeing people develop themselves and acts as a coach for young professionals. She also gives expression to this by facilitating several capacity building sessions on required skills to be successful in the workplace.
 
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and an MBA from the prestigious Lagos Business School. She is an Associate Chartered Accountant and is certified as a Leadership Professional in Ethics and Compliance.
